The Optibelt Red Power 3 Belt has a specially treated polyester cord. This allows the belt to perform at up to 50% higher power ratings than regular V-Belts. The drive efficiency of these belts is up to 97% which is almost the same as a timing belt drive. This increased power and efficiency means that you can run fewer belts on a drive. Fewer belts means narrower pulleys, taking up less space, this converts in to lower set up and running costs. They can be used to increase the performance of any v-belt drive and are ideal for compressors, pumps, presses, fans and just about any heavy-duty application.

These belts are maintenance free. To achieve this, you simply install the belts as you normally would and tighten them up to the recommended tension as per Optibelt recommendations. Then allow the belts to run in for about 1 hour, go back and retention them and that is it. The belts will now remain at the correct tension for the rest of their working life. This can save many hours of down time and maintenance checking the belt tension.

Red Power 3 belts are available in the following V-Belt profiles:

• SPA, SPB, SPC & SPZ.
• 3V, 5V & 8V.
• Kraft band belts are also available.
